This is one of the print projects I did in my senior year of high school. I was mostly just trying to play with colors when I decided to use lyrics from the song "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" by Skrillex. The reason for this song was mostly because that was what I was listening to, but also the specific lyrics is when the bass drops and there is a breakdown. The prints became progressively more "chaotic" just as the song does at the time of the lyrics.

This was a picture I took at Longwood Gardens during my senior year of high school while on a photography trip. Out of all the pictures I took, this one was one of my favorites because you can see the water droplets hitting the water and center piece, and breaking. I chose to take a picture of this because I have a fascination with water. When you just look at a fountain, you see a stream of water going up then sprinkling down. But when you freeze time by taking a picture, you can see exactly what happens as the droplets are coming down.

I chose this as my first piece to post because it is one of my favorites that I have done. The picture is of Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, the members of MGMT. I chose the colors because the group is considered psychedelic rock and I felt the colors had the right feel for the picture. The eel is from the song "Electric Feel" featured on Oracular Spectacular released in 2007. I did this as a project for my computer art class in high school. When I see this piece it reminds me of the countless days I would spend in the art room with my friends listening to MGMT while doing art. I have this as part of a collage in my room; some of my friends also have this piece in their rooms to remind us all of the good times we had. Another reason I like this is because I remember sitting there saying there was nothing else I could add without ruining it, but I still had one more layer to add to meet the minimum. That was when I decided to add the eel. This reminds me that there is always something else that can be done to make your work better, no matter how complete you feel it is.
